Bensalem runs on the Street Road / Route 1 corridor — Neshaminy Mall, Parx Casino, and a steady stream of I-95 traffic — and that mix is tough on a car in ways a lot of drivers don't expect. We're about 12 to 15 minutes north on Street Road in Feasterville-Trevose, and we've been fixing cars on Bustleton Pike for more than 40 years.
Street Road and Route 1 through Bensalem carry some of the heaviest retail and commuter traffic in Lower Bucks — stop-and-go around Neshaminy Mall, odd-hours trips to Parx Casino, and constant merging on and off I-95. That's a different kind of wear than a quiet side street, and it shows up in specific parts of the car.
Every light on Street Road and every lane change around the mall and the casino means a lot of low-speed braking, day and night. Customers who drive this corridor regularly often wear front pads faster than they expect. If the pedal pulses, you hear grinding, or the car pulls to one side, we'll measure the pads and rotors and tell you honestly what needs doing now and what can wait.
A quick trip to Parx or the mall and back never gives the alternator time to fully recharge what the starter, lights, and climate control just used. Do that on a regular shift schedule and a battery that should last years starts struggling within a couple of winters. If your car's been slow to start or the lights dim at idle, that's usually an electrical system issue worth checking before it leaves you stuck in the casino lot.
Jumping from a dead stop on Street Road up to I-95 speed, then back down again, puts real strain on suspension components — and the pavement along the Philadelphia border isn't always kind to it either. Clunking over bumps, pulling to one side, or an uneven ride points to suspension work we can diagnose and price before anything's torn apart.
Idling through mall and casino traffic on a hot afternoon asks more of a radiator fan and water pump than a steady highway cruise does. If the temperature gauge creeps up at idle or the A/C goes warm in slow traffic, that's cooling repair, a specialty of ours since this shop was Coastal Radiator & Air.

From the Route 1 / Neshaminy Mall area, take Street Road west and north through Bensalem into Feasterville-Trevose, then follow Street Road to Bustleton Pike. The shop is at 1100 Bustleton Pike. It's about 6 miles and usually 12 to 15 minutes outside rush hour — add time if Street Road is backed up near the mall or the casino.
If you're coming off I-95, Street Road is the most direct way over without cutting through Philadelphia surface streets. Call ahead and we'll have your car on the schedule when you pull in.
Businesses near the I-95 warehouses and distribution centers. If you run vans or pickups for a Bensalem-area business, we have two truck lifts and a dedicated fleet labor rate. We can set up a standing account so your vehicles get scheduled, repaired, and invoiced without the back-and-forth.
Financing. Larger repairs can be financed through 1stMile if you'd rather not pay the full cost at once.
